Who we are
INLAY Construction is a residential remodeling company serving Austin, Texas and the surrounding Central Texas area. This policy explains, in plain language, how we handle personal information collected through inlayconstruction.com and through enquiries you send us.
We are grateful that you are considering us for your home, and we treat the details you share with the same care we would want for our own.
Information we collect
We only ask for what we genuinely need in order to help you.
- Details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, the neighborhood or address of the property, and anything you tell us about your project.
- Consent records: where you agree to be contacted by phone or text, we store the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the IP address the consent came from.
- Technical information: your browser type, device type, approximate region, the pages you visit and the site that referred you. This is collected through our hosting provider and, where you allow it, analytics cookies.
- Correspondence: emails, messages and call notes relating to your enquiry or your project.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation.
- To prepare proposals, drawings, schedules and contracts for your project.
- To manage a project we are carrying out for you, including permits and inspections.
- To keep records required for insurance, warranty, tax and accounting purposes.
- To improve this website and understand which information homeowners find most useful.
- To send you occasional updates about our work, only where you have asked to receive them. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Why we are allowed to use it
We rely on your consent when you submit a form or agree to receive calls and texts, on the performance of a contract when we are working on your home, on our legitimate interest in running and improving a construction business responsibly, and on legal obligations such as permitting, tax and insurance record keeping.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we never rent or trade it.
- Trade partners and suppliers working on your project, who receive only what they need to do their part.
- Design professionals, engineers and permitting authorities where your project requires it.
- Service providers who help us operate, such as website hosting, email, scheduling and accounting software, all bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Insurers and legal advisers where necessary.
- Authorities, where the law requires us to disclose information.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep the site secure and working as intended, and they cannot be switched off. Optional analytics cookies help us see which pages homeowners read most, so we can write better ones. We ask for your permission before any optional cookie is set, and your choice is remembered in your browser.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, or by adjusting your browser settings to refuse cookies. Refusing optional cookies will not limit any part of the site.
Calls and text messages
If you give us your phone number and tick the consent box on a form, you are agreeing that we may contact you by call or text, including autodialed or prerecorded messages, about your project enquiry. Consent is not a condition of purchase, message and data rates may apply, and you may reply STOP at any time to opt out. We keep a record of the consent wording, the timestamp and the IP address.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to twenty four months, in case you come back to us. Project records, contracts, drawings, photographs and warranty documents are kept for as long as we are required to hold them for legal, insurance and warranty purposes. Consent records are kept for at least five years, as recommended for telephone consent.
How we protect it
This site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry and project records is limited to the people who need it, and our software providers are chosen with security in mind. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so we also keep the information we hold to the minimum we genuinely need.
Your choices and rights
Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and we extend the same courtesy to everyone who contacts us. To make a request, email us using the address below and we will respond within forty five days. You will never be treated differently for exercising a right.
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy.
- Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
- Withdraw consent for marketing messages, calls or texts at any time.
- Ask us not to sell or share your personal information. We do not sell it in any case.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging work on their homes. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. We would encourage you to glance at it from time to time.
